History, Purpose and Scope
ERDEM Human and Social Sciences Journal (ISSN: 1010-867X e-ISSN: 2667-8713) is a periodical, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Presidency of Atatürk Culture Center. It started being published in 1985 Its founder is Dist. Prof. Dr. Aydın SAYILI.
Scanned by MLA International Bibliography, EBSCOhost, SOBIAD, TR Dizin, İSAM, DAVET, ASI (Advanced Search Index) and AYK Journal Index, ERDEM Journal is published as two issues annually in June/Summer and in December/Winter both online and in print. The journal publishes art and literature articles and research articles prepared in Turkish, English and other Turkish dialects.
ERDEM magazine has a long-established tradition; it is known for its academic publications in the fields of social and human sciences. In addition to scientific quality, the journal has made easily accessible academic information for both authors and readers, its new issues and its archive freely accessible to the public through the general network site.

ERDEM journal publishes academic articles on Social Sciences and Humanities, especially in the fields of literature, art history, sociology, philosophy, geography, folklore, cultural studies, literary reviews, music, urban studies, philosophy and history of science, theater and translation.

Articles/articles in the journal are archived with the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system.
The journal undertakes to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics and to follow the Code of Practice issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
In the articles published in ERDEM magazine, the APA-based ERDEM-specific reference and citation system (the necessary information about this system is available in the “ERDEM Journal Editorial Principles” section) is used.

Erdem journal adopts an open access policy. Open access increases the speed and reach of knowledge dissemination, providing beneficial outcomes for humanity.
