efereeing Process
The institutions affiliated with the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History (AKMB, ATAM, TDK, TTK) use YAYSİS for refereeing, as they do for all publication processes. Social scientists wishing to become referees/reviewers for books and articles can register with the system via the link https://giris.ayk.gov.tr/signin Those whose membership is approved by the institution's management may be assigned as referees/reviewers according to their areas of expertise.

Peer Review Process
Erdem journal uses a ‘Double-Blind Peer Review System’. Authors and reviewers cannot know about each other until the article process is completed.
Reviewers may decide to ‘approve’, “reject” or ‘require revisions’ for the article. Authors complete the necessary revisions based on the ‘revision’ reports sent to them through the system within one month and upload the revised version of the article to the system.
If the article receives two ‘approvals’, it is published in accordance with the publication plan, subject to the ‘recommendation and decision’ of the Erdem Journal Editorial Board and the approval of the Management Board of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History.
If the article receives two ‘rejections’, it is not published and the referee process is terminated. An article that receives 1 ‘approval’ and 1 ‘rejection’ is sent to a third reviewer.

Royalty Payment
Erdem Journal is prepared and published using public resources; it does not charge authors any fees and pays royalties to authors and reviewers in accordance with the provisions of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History’s Copyright, Publication and Sales Regulations.
