Article Evaluation Process
Evaluation Principles
1) Articles that have not been previously published or are not currently under review for publication in another journal, and which have been approved by each author, will be accepted for evaluation.
2) Submitted articles that pass the preliminary check are screened for plagiarism using the İntihal.net software.
3) Our journal conducts a double-blind peer review process. All submissions will first be evaluated by the editor for suitability for the journal. Articles deemed suitable will be sent to at least two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the article.
4) Editors evaluate manuscripts independently of the authors' ethnic origin, gender, nationality, religious beliefs, and political philosophy. They ensure that manuscripts submitted for publication undergo a fair double-blind peer review process.
5) The chief editor does not permit conflicts of interest between authors, editors, and reviewers.
6) The editorial board is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles. The editorial board's decision is final.
7) Editors do not participate in decisions regarding articles written by themselves, their family members, or colleagues, or articles related to products or services in which the editor has an interest. Any such submission is subject to the journal's standard procedures.
Review Process
• Authors are responsible for the content of their articles and must comply with our journal's Writing Guidelines and Ethical Principles.
• Articles reviewed by the editor are scanned using the İntihal.net programme before being sent to referees. The similarity ratio of the work should not exceed 20%, and the similarity ratio of a single source should not exceed 5%. Manuscripts exceeding this rate are returned to the authors during the preliminary review stage.
• Every manuscript submitted to Arış is first evaluated by the editors for compliance with writing and publication principles. If corrections are required by the author as a result of this evaluation, the manuscript is returned to the author with a request for corrections by the editor.
• Manuscripts deemed suitable for evaluation in terms of writing and publication principles are forwarded to referees. At least two referees are assigned to evaluate each manuscript that passes the editor's approval.
• The names of referees and authors are kept confidential from each other.
• The evaluation period for referees to assess the manuscripts sent to them is a maximum of 15 days. If a report is not submitted by the end of this period, a new referee is appointed.
• Articles receiving at least two positive referee reports from the field evaluation are eligible for publication. Articles receiving one positive and one negative referee report are sent to a third referee, and the decision on whether to publish the article is made based on the third referee's report. Approved articles are placed in the publication queue, and authors are notified.
• After the article is accepted for publication, the author must submit it to our editorial office at erdemdergisi@akmb.gov.tr in Word format, formatted as specified under the heading ‘General Writing Rules and Page Layout’.
• During the printing stage, the article is sent to the author. The author reviews it and, if corrections are necessary, returns it to the journal with the changes indicated.
NOTE: Our Dergipark website is used for archiving purposes. Article submissions to our journal are made through the Publication Tracking System.
